Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop Practice

Happy Saturday everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog. I've been getting a lot of very sweet comments and awards, and I just wanted to say that I really do appreciate each and every one :) Sometimes I think about just stopping my blog because I think who really wants to see my stuff? Then I get a sweet comment, it puts a smile on my face, and I'm reminded of just how much I really do enjoy not only sharing my work, but being allowed to share all of yours as well :) You ladies are the best! And I am incredibly grateful :)

I am excited to share with you all today that I have been invited to participate in my third blog hop! :) Just in case you haven't noticed the new button on my page, it's a Butterfly themed Birthday Blog Hop :) It's being hosted by Laura over at MakinPrettyThings.com If you have never heard of her, definitely check out her blog when you get some free time. Her work really is amazing and I promise you won't be disappointed :)

Since there is so much you could do with butterflies I figured I had better start practicing ;) I decided to try to go with an elegant, classy looking card, and this is what I came up with:
inside: I couldn't find a "Happy Birthday" stamp or message in my stash with font that I liked for it, so I left it blank for now):
For how simple (and cricutless) it was to make, I think it turned out pretty good :)

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by! I hope to see you here hopping with us April 21st! :)

  5. I'm wondering too how you did this, Libby?! (I erased my last post because I called you Abby for some reason, duh!) It's certainly beautiful, are the butterflies in the paper? The second one down from the top looks like a cut-out. -- Pat N.

  8. Thank you ladies :) It's actually just a piece of paper that I cut around the flowers. It's from one of the $5.00 stacks at Walmart.
Jasmine does have a link to show you how to make paper look like metal here:

    I hope that helps :)

  9. Woops, I meant to say cut around the butterflies, not flowers. My mind is going on fumes....I haven't had a full nights sleep in weeks.
