Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!! And welcome to the butterfly themed blog hop being held in honor of our wonderful hostess Laura's birthday! (Happy Birthday sweetie!) I'm so honored to be a part of such a fabulous group of women :) And I'm so happy you've decided to join us! If you've come here from Trish over at www.techniquesbytrish.blogspot.com then you're in the right spot. If not, head on over to Laura's blog at http://www.makinprettythings.com to start at the beginning. I'll have our full line up at the end of this post for ya just in case.

Now on to my projects:

The first thing I made for this hop was a gift-card holder birthday card:
The gift card slides in through the flower shaped punch on the upper-right side of the card. Pretty neat, huh? :)
Now I'm not crazy about this part, but here's how the inside came out:
I used one of Momo's youtube tutorials for how to cut and fold the base. You can see it here: http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/2010/05/episode-46-gift-card-holder.html 

Then I decided to make an even bigger project and ended up with my second chipboard book :)

This was made for my very good friend Lynn's baby girl who's due in July. I used the CDS so I apologize for not having exact measurements of everything (but if you'd like them I do have the file saved). I used Lyrical Letters, Simply Charming, Storybook, and Create-A-Critter, along with paper from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack, face stamps from Peechy Keens Wide Eyed Kid Assortment set, some eyelets, and twine to tie it all together :)
